Cos Nicolaou
Cosmos (Cos) Nicolaou is a Senior Engineering Director at Google where he is responsible for the infrastructure that underlies Google's web search products. Prior to Google, Cos was director of software at Fabric7 Systems and at Akamai Technologies where he led the video streaming and storage teams.
Before moving to the US he co-founded Nemesys Research, a spin-off from the University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory that pioneered real-time video delivery and conferencing over ATM networks. Nemesys Research was sold to FORE Systems in 1996 and Cos moved on to manage FORE's switch and routing group in San Jose as Senior Director.
Cos holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge Computer Lab and a BSc(I) in Computer Science from University College London. |
