Shekhar Mandal
Shekhar Mandal was VP of Finance & Administration for the Metro Switching Division of Ciena Corporation. He was a founder and CFO of Cyras Systems, an EDV-funded company that was acquired by Ciena in March 2001. Shekhar has over 25 years of experience in managing the finances of high-tech companies and has held key management positions in international operations, manufacturing, sales and service at various world-class technology companies. He was the Controller at Fiberlane Communications (Cerent). Prior to that, he managed Worldwide Sales & Service Finance for Lam Research. During his tenure at Sun Microsystems, he was the Controller of Customer Service (North America Division). At National Semiconductor, he was the Operations Controller. In addition, he helped in launching several Silicon Valley start-ups (including Stratum One and Luxxon) by performing the financial planning.
Shekhar served on the Board of Directors at Appshop, an EDV-funded company. He is also a Limited Partner at various Silicon Valley Venture Capital firms. He holds an MBA from Santa Clara University. |
