Shekhar Mandal
Shekhar Mandal was a co-founder and CFO of Cyras Systems, an El Dorado Ventures portfolio company that was acquired by Ciena in 2001. After the acquisition, Shekhar served as VP of Finance and Administration for the Metro Switching Division of Ciena Corp. Shekhar has over 20 years of experience managing the finances of high-tech companies and has held key management positions in international operations, manufacturing, sales and service at world-class technology companies. Prior to co-founding Cyras, he served as controller of Fiberlane Communications. Prior to that, he managed the North American customer service division for Sun Microsystems. During his tenure at National Semiconductor, he was the operational controller and at Lam Research, he managed the operational aspects of the worldwide sales and service organization. In addition, he has helped launch several Silicon Valley start-ups (including Stratum One, Siara and Luxxon) by providing financial planning assistance. He holds an MBA from Santa Clara University. |
