SAN MATEO, Calif. --Sana Security, Inc., a leader in enterprise threat protection, today announced it has been recognized for Computerworld's Horizon Awards. Sana Security has been honored for its unique and innovative approach to protecting servers and client desktops from the effects of malicious software and spyware. Sana's Active Malware Defense Technology (Active MDT), the behavioral heuristic technology within Primary Response(R), offers instant detection, classification and response with the ability to kill and quarantine malicious programs.
Reviewed by a panel of CIO judges, the Horizon Awards honor the developers of important new enterprise information technologies still in R&D and those entering the marketplace. Sana was selected out of a 195 submissions of both public and private companies in the category of security.
"This year's Horizon Award winners exemplify the most notable technologies that will potentially impact both consumers and enterprises in the coming years," said Don Tennant, editor in chief of Computerworld.
The Horizon Awards recognition marks the latest accolade in a series of successes that validate Sana's position in the threat protection software market. Sana Security leverages a behavioral heuristic approach to enterprise security that is adaptive to new threats and enables more accurate prioritization of efforts to close the vulnerability gaps that are targets of real world threats.
"As a proven innovator in enterprise security, Sana is committed to staying one step ahead of the next threat outbreak in order to help restore customer's integrity," said Timothy Eades, senior vice president of sales and marketing, Sana Security. "The Computerworld Horizon Awards recognized Sana's advanced approach in offering comprehensive solutions that are proactive, scalable and continuous. Sana's behavior-based models allow enterprises to maintain a higher security posture against today's leading threats."
Active Malware Defense Technology (Active MDT), a patented behavioral heuristic technology, is the central part of Sana's Primary Response(R). The security solution prevents malware from infecting and causing havoc to PCs. The software centrally manages both client and server agents, including mobile and remote users, and was designed to operate almost completely independent of IT administration, enabling it to be quickly deployed and configured to scale across hundreds of enterprise servers and PCs in complex enterprises without compromising visibility and control. Primary Response(R) integrates with existing enterprise user and data stores, including Microsoft Active Directory, for accelerated time to deployment by leveraging administration authentication and general user and group management.
The combination of out-of-the-box protection, adaptive profiling technology and behavioral heuristics from Primary Response(R) provides organizations with a high performance, scalable product that quickly deploys across the enterprise to offer instant and constant protection for core information assets. Primary Response(R) goes beyond traditional IPS to include malware and malicious Spyware detection and prevention, automatic protection of newly discovered applications, system level security and self-protection against malicious tampering. |
