MightyBackup is a wireless Internet application and service that provides secure backup and restore functionality for SymbianT/Series 60 and BREWT handsets. If a phone is lost, stolen or damaged, MightyBackup can quickly and easily send the user's address book to a new phone. MightyBackup also includes scheduling options and a secure web application that can be viewed from a web browser.
Backing up and restoring one's mobile address book is an important but tedious task. MightyBackup is the first wireless application to handle this chore simply and elegantly. Unlike other synchronization offerings that may require direct contact between the phone and PC, MightyBackup utilizes the wireless carrier's network to automatically broadcast contacts to and from a user's phone, anywhere, anytime.
The MightyBackup service consists of a small application that resides on the mobile phone, a web-based portal to view or print the user's address book, and the MightyBackup infrastructure running in a carrier-grade data center. The phone-based signup and backup process usually takes less than 5 minutes.
