Portfolio Company: DVDPlay

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- DVDPlay, the new standard for the “New Way to Rent New Release Movies,™” and the innovator and leading U.S. owner/operator of fully automated DVD rental kiosks, announced today that it had reached two major milestones to date:

* Rented in excess of 6 million movies
* Deployed over 1,000 DVDPlay branded kiosks across major grocery chains, convenience stores, military bases and a variety of other retail locations

DVDPlay offers new releases and top hit movie rental for $1.49 and 99 cents each extra day. First time users receive free one-day rental with promotion code.

“We have a lot to celebrate at the start of 2007,” said Chuck Berger, Chairman and CEO, DVDPlay. “Our installation rates continue to accelerate at a rapid pace throughout North America, which speaks volumes for the high level of convenience, low price, and ease of use we are creating for customers. The ability to rent new release movies for just $1.49 for the first night with no late fees, at stores, where consumers shop everyday, is transforming the market,” explained Berger. “Six million movie rentals is a significant market share to capture in a highly competitive environment.”

DVDPlay’s influence on the overall video rental market will cast a much larger net in 2007, as it continues to grow its network of kiosks conveniently located in major and small metropolitan areas around the country. DVDPlay’s kiosk network includes large grocery and convenience chain stores such as, Safeway, Kroger, Albertson’s, Piggly Wiggly, White Hen and 7/11 in Canada, along with serving our men and women in uniform at U.S. military bases.
