Top Tier Venture Capitalists Judge High-Tech Ventures at Annual University of San Francisco International Business Plan Competition

USF Hosts Internationally Recognized Business Plan Competition in the Venture Capital Epicenter

SAN FRANCISCO -- The University of San Francisco is hosting the 7th Annual USF International Business Plan Competition on March 9-12, 2005. As the epicenter of entrepreneurial activity, the San Francisco Bay Area boasts the largest pool of venture capital firms globally. The University of San Francisco's business plan competition is regarded by both industry insiders and academic observers as the premier event for judging technology ventures.

Competition judges are executives and partners from numerous companies and investment firms, including Bill Campbell, Chairman of the Board of Intuit, Ann Winblad, Co-founder of Hummer Winblad, Mike McGraw, CEO of Pacific Specialty Insurance, the Wall Street Journal, and partners with Nokia Ventures, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, El Dorado Ventures (Scott Irwin), Skyline Ventures, Globespan Capital Partners, Garage Technology Ventures, Capstone Ventures, Pacific Growth Equities, Crosslink Capital, East Peak Advisors, CKS Partners, Onset Ventures, Alta Partners, Mayfield Ventures, Blueprint Ventures, Crescendo Ventures, and DeNovo Ventures.
